AMICITIAS - Mobile Language Games Project
The "Ami" team is currently developing mobile-based, language learning games in a number of locations throughout Europe including Barcelona, Sicily, Galway and Bradford.
Funding was received from the EU by lecturers David Robison and Gil Harel, in the School of Informatics at The Univerisity of Bradford, as part of a larger bid headed by
Javier Díaz (Dept. of Modern Languages, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). The project involves several partners in educational institutions and technology innovation organisations.
AMICITIAS stands for "Ambient Intelligence as a Compelling Instructional Tool for Interlinguistic and Intercultural Skills". It's a bit of a mouthful, so we just call it "Ami".
